Bella Boo Hyun Kim was born in South Korea and studied classical music composition at Kookmin University in Seoul. After she graduated with a bachelor`s degree, she continued her studies of classical music at Hochshcule für Musik in Freiburg, Germany. In 2012, Bella moved to San Francisco, California and studied at Academy of Art University. In 2015 she graduated with a Master`s degree in Music Production and Sound Design for Visual Media. Since 2012, she has worked for independent films and animation as a composer and sound designer. In 2015, some films featuring her compositions were selected officially at competitions in Spain and South Korea.  Bella drew together a team of composers called Bittersweet#5, made up of five composers having different talents in dance music, Korean music, pop music, electronic music and film music. Since 2015, they have performed and collaborated across different genres. Now she will challenge herself to compose music for the theater, commercial films, advertising, video games and hip-hop. Her goal is to be a film score composer. However, she will strive to continuously evolve as an artist – never sticking to just one style.
